i am 20 years old; trying to figure out this thing they call life. on the surface i seem to be fairly lucky and well off, but throughout my life (mostly emotionally) i have taken lots of twists and turns to get to where i am today. i have gone from being a melodramatic teenager to a curious adult ready to take what life throws my way and appreciate the life i do have. i am just beginning to really explore and figure out who i am and the mark i can make on this world. i am a thinker and could go on and on for hours about my life philosophy, but i will save that for another time...i believe the world and everything in it is beautiful and good and bad lies within our own perceptions. love is the center of my universe...if there is something larger than us out there that holds the world together, it is love. i think that love is the single most beautiful, real, and honest aspect of life. i like to go concerts/shows and snowboarding when i can afford it and i am pretty much down to try and extreme sport (except sky diving and bungee jumping...something about jumping into mid air and falling to my possible death just doesnt strike my fancy). i tend to make up words which i use in my writing and speaking alike...it keeps things interesting and colorful. (i had this teacher in high school who said that it is not necessary to conform to society and only except words that have been chosen to be included in a little book but rather it is important that the audience understands the word in the context of use...i go by her model) i like art and am an aspiring artist...photography is my weapon of choice but i am exploring various media. i work at a preschool and absolutely love working with children. of course, among my co-workers i am probably known as the one to watch out for...i find myself running around the children, attempting to ride tricycles many sizes too small, playing in the sand box, and climbing on the structures and sliding down the slide...it tends to lead to me messing around and the children trying to copy the actions i dont realize they see. (oops!) i am still amazed and entertained by the simplest things, sometimes that childhood mesmoration just never leaves. the little things matter the most, smiles are contagious, a helpful hand and a listening ear can change someone's life. if you say something, mean it...as that quote goes, "say what you mean and mean what you say". i hold a lot of meaning in words, i dissect things people say looking for obvious or hidden intention and meaning...i guess its a side effect of being lied to. for that reason, trust and honesty are a huge deal to me. trust is the foundation to any good relationship (romantic or otherwise) and once lost hard to gain back. relationships are important to me and i am making a strong effort to take advantage of face to face contact as it has become almost unnecessary in this world.
